Pulheim Gophers stay in Baseball-Bundesliga

They need to go the distance against Berlin Sluggers to secure Spot

The Pulheim Gophers have secured their spot in the northern division of the 2010 Baseball-Bundesliga. They won the decisive third match of their relegation series against the Berlin Sluggers 9-6 last Saturday. Seven runs in the first two frames decided the outcome early, although Berlin was able to cut the deficit afterwards. In game two starting pitcher Dennis Andresen had led the Sluggers to a 6-2 win, forcing game three. Pulheim had won game one of the series a week earlier 6-5. Sven Kaufmann led the Gophers offense with five hits on the day.
